Hello, friends! Restaurant Week just ended and I wanted to share with you the four spots I dined at during this time. For all the frugal foodies, this an awesome way to go to some great restaurants for a discounted price. Three-course lunches are $20 per person and three-course dinners are $35 per person (not including drinks, tax and gratuity...basically a Groupon lol). I wanted to take this opportunity to eat a different cuisine for each meal, so I did just that. I've recently been obsessed with Hell's Kitchen so I rated everything and pretended I was Chef Ramsey. So let’s get started!
First stop was Amada, a Spanish style restaurant. Talk about portion control, lol! I felt so light afterwards. You know when you eat and then feel super sluggish and get the itis? Yeah, didn't happen, so that was plus! They specialize in tapas and it is indeed their specialty. I also felt kinda fancy because every time the waiter came and served us the food, he called it out and named e v e r y ingredient and I loved it. Each meal I had from this place was soooo different, but the cauliflower dish was my favorite because it was full of flavor. I also loved the presentation of each dish, a major thing for me since my obsession with Hell's Kitchen *insert painting nails emoji*.

For dinner, we hit Ocean Prime. Definitely a more upscale restaurant experience. A dress code, candles, and dimmed lighting? Mhm. It was great. I haven't eaten red meat in a while, but I broke that to try the filet mignon (cooked medium of course) and it was welllll worth it. The lobster bisque? My Lord. So creamy and delicious. The desserts were also on point. The layered carrot cake was rich, but not too rich and probably the freshest tasting cookies n cream ice cream I've had. I believe they got the cow milk and churred right before it was served to me.

Showed up to Barra Rossa, a hip Italian cafe, ready to grub. My top two dishes had to be the smoked salmon and the chicken & shrimp milano. This 3 course meal was super filling...in a good way. I was full and could barely move after eating the pasta, lol. Naturally pasta is heavy but still great service, great presentation, great food, and perfect for lunch. The only thing I didn't agree with was the term "spicy" and I wanted a tad more heat in some dishes, but that's just me.

Last, and least unfortunately was Spice 28 -- a Szechuan and Asian fusion restaurant. One thing that most would think is great, I think is eh and that is an extremely lengthy menu. I already have a hard time making decisions so I've been spoiled with the other three restaurants because the choices were already narrowed down for me because of the deal. Spice 28 had a lot of options lol. There was only one thing I tried that was okay, the rock shrimp, the rest was a no from me dawg. The service wasn't good either. It took them forever to give us water, bring the correct restaurant week menus, and my appetizer came with my entree :(. Not everything was "bad" but I wanted to be blown away and I wasn't. The Peking duck buns were decent, but the buns were dripping with grease. The mango chicken was lots of mango and not so much chicken. My blue crab avocado salad only had a dollop of blue crab and spicy mayo. The green tea ice cream was not "ice cream" I'm not sure if this was truly authentic, but not my cup of tea. Maybe I caught them on a bad day? Idk, it was kind of a bummer to end my week with this one.

Overall, I had an amazing experience. If you're in the Philadelphia area, I only recommend going to the first three...for reasons lol. Hope you enjoyed, let me know if you would try any of these or if you participated in restaurant week in your city!
