I’ve only been in Philadelphia for 11 months, but this seems to be the spot that’s always in the conversation when talking about the best brunches.
I’ve been to two different locations and the ambiance and atmosphere is pretty similar — hipster chic, full of millennials drinking mimosas. Oh yeah, it’s BYOB and there isn’t a bottomless option, which I hate because what’s brunch without bottomless, but still if you’re in Philly, I’d come by because the food is still very good.
APPLE PIE FRENCH TOAST (thick pieces of challah bread dipped in crepe brûlée batter stuffed with apple pie filling - Honestly so bomb! Only for those with a sweet tooth and a big appetite.
CHICKEN AND WAFFLES BENEDICT WITH BACON & JALAPENO MAC AND CHEESE - This tastes WAY better than it looks. Also, it looks more aesthetically pleasing with egg benedict. The Mac and cheese was < and I wouldn’t get it again, but the chicken and waffles are really good!
RED VELVET PANCAKES (with chocolate morsels, strawberry mascarpone layers, chantilly cream, and fresh strawberries) - Another sweet treat for my sugar lovers. Can you see the portion size of these babies? Huge.
SALTED CARAMEL BANANA STUFFED FRENCH TOAST (thick pieces of challah bread, salted caramel cream cheese filling and fresh berries) - They have GREAT bacon. I had to mention that since it’s all on the plate, lol. This dish is also great, and frankly it can be shared between two people like the red velvet pancakes.
CREOLE SHRIMP AND GRITS (seared gulf shrimp in a spicy creole sauce) - Unfortunately this was taken before I actually liked eggs benedict...or I should have just gotten the eggs on the side, but this is how it came. Don’t be fooled, underneath this large scrambled egg is lots of cajun flavor and juicy shrimp!
They have 3 locations in Philadelphia and 1 in Miami. Click the link below for the location addresses and the super versatile menu!
