I contemplated not going into work today. After watching the Presidential election results, I thought it would be too much and I didn't want to hear/talk about it. I even deleted my social media apps from my phone (s/o to Hootsuite so I can post) because a mental break was needed. But here I am, at my job, writing this on my lunch break and feeling compelled to encourage you all because I was encouraged this morning.
Before I left the house, I spoke to my dad and he simply said "God will be God and he will always be in control." - it honestly made me feel so much better.
My friend Joshua texted me this morning with a message from Shine (daily affirmations from HeyFranHey)
For me, gospel music is always a good pick me up after I pray. So here ya go, my perfect song for today. I love how much this Kirk Franklin song connects (and you know Tamela Mann and Tasha Cobbs can sang).
I also received an encouraging and heartfelt email from my mentor, Ms. Karen. She closed with this verse:
"But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist (spread the good news), discharge all the duties of your ministry."
2 Tim 4:5
Fear won't live in my heart and it shouldn't live in yours.
Selah. (Pause and think on that)
