THERE. IS . ENOUGH. ROOM. FOR. EVERYONE. In a super saturated world, we can all win. Why aren’t we supporting each other? If you feel you’re doing the same exact thing as a friend and you aren’t genuinely happy when they win, you might need to check yourself. You wanna know why? Cause whatever opportunity happened for them, wasn’t for you. My best friend recently posted this on Instagram and it resonated with me so deeply.
You think you losing out on an opportunity that wasn’t even yours was bad? Ever heard of Job…cause tah! My mans lost e v e r y t h i n g and still praised God.
Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD." Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. (Job 1:21-22)
Job didn’t get bitter nor did he take from others, he waited on what God had for him. He was a faithful servant and knew all things were working for his good. So many of my friends and followers have started building their brands and cultivating their “5-9’s” - I make sure to retweet and promote them on my social media. I want them to win.
Now, don't start supporting others only to reap the benefits of God’s blessing, He knows your intentions and He will check you. If somethinginside of you feels a way toward someone’s success, pray that God creates in you a CLEAN heart and rids you of any malice. #letthathurtgo. If you are not where you want to be with your business, change your process and trust God’s timing. Complaining and being bitter ain’t never been cute on you, bro. My FAVORITE moment of Chance the Rapper’s performance during The Meadows Festival was his exhortation after performing “Blessings reprise” to the crowd saying “Did you know your blessings ain’t on an album? But they’re coming! Did you know your blessings ain’t in a show? But they’re coming! Did you know your blessings aren’t made of flesh? But they’re coming!”
Look at these tweets from my fav, Dannie!
I am believing God for bigger and better opportunities from this blog, for my career plans, and my life overall. My blessing is coming, and so is yours.
Selah. (Pause and think on that)
