Happy Father's Day, this one is for you guys! To all of the fathers that protect, provide, nurture and love their children, but what about my dad, my first love, my hero? He brings laughter, joy, and peace to our home. My younger brother and I have truly been blessed with such a great foundation of love and my parent's marriage is what I one day aspire to have. He is truly irreplaceable.
So you haven't gotten a gift yet? Some quick ideas below:
- A handwritten card. Always. Duh.
- Home-cooked meal with his favorite foods
- Movie tickets
- Professional sports game tickets
- Gift card to Home Depot/Lowe's
- Portable phone charger
- Bevel razor set
- Car emergency kit
- Trip to a museum
I saw a post on mothers day sending love to those who have a hard time on Mother's day due to strain relations and losses and I want to do the same today. We are thinking of fathers who have lost children, that have strained relationships with their children, those who lost their fathers, children with strained relationships with their fathers, children who have never had a relationship with their father, and those who desire to be fathers - I'm thinking of you and I hope God gives you peace on today.
BIG shoutout to these fathers/soon-to-be's and their businesses:
Cameron Williams - Gym Krew
Sabin Duncan - Sabin Prentis
Ethan James - Strathmore Consultants
