In The Middle

In The Middle

"Don't worry 'bout what you're going through
Instead of worrying, here's what you can do
Praise him anyway
In the middle of it"

These lyrics above from an encouraging and upbeat song called "In The Middle" by Isaac Carree and it's kind of where I'm at in life right now. I feel that I'm at a place where I'm grateful for what God has already given me, however I want more for myself.  I'm in the middle of my blessings and I have soooo much work to do before reaching my end goal. I know my potential, so I try to keep these three things in mind while I'm in the middle.

Trust God's process and plan for you.  I've been blessed to have a job in my field and technically I am using my degree, but i know this isn't where I'm suppose to finish. I just graduated last year (s/o to my illustrious Hampton University), but I'm honestly just ready to make 6 figures already lol. I know I can't be the only one feeling this way, but sometimes I feel stagnant. It takes a lot to keep pushing and continue to praise, thank, and seek God in the middle of everything.

Stop comparing yourself to others. I'm extremely guilty of this. I've gotten better, but that's the one thing that almost talked myself out of starting this blog. Stop doing that! Your path is your path and it may be slower than the rest, but you'll deal and it will all be worth it. :)

Do what you HAVE to do in order to do what you WANT to do. You have dreams of going to med school? You gon' have to push through and finish Organic Chemistry first! (May the odds be ever in your favor.) You want to start up a business, do your research and set attainable & reasonable goals. If you're gonna complain and not try to change your circumstance, shut up (sorry lol) Faith without works is dead and I believe that! God will bless you when he sees your effort.

Galations 6:9 says "So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith."

This is my personal testimony as it relates to my career, but it applies to anyone who isn't finished doing their work. Keep on keepin' on.

Pause and think on that (Selah).
