Many young professionals in their early twenties say the more seasoned people at their jobs look down and/or talk down to them because of their age. It can be very discouraging and it has happened to me. Twenty three years young, youngest in the company and already been flown out twice probably before many of my colleagues because they saw something in me. Should I have said no because I was afraid? Afraid of being confronted by coworkers asking why they chose me? Me. The woman who has only been with the company for three months? The President/CEO actually told me they wanted me to work on other projects because they believe my age and sharpness would benefit them in other ways besides what I was initially hired for. I believe God opens doors for us that are meant to be walked through.
Why is the Bible so lit?*insert fire emojis here* Like there's literally a verse that helps me get through evverrryyythhingg. 1 Tim 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. You see that? Walk into your blessings, actually... run into them! Don't miss out on an opportunity because you think you're not ready and this is not only for my twenty somethings, this mini word is for everyone. If it's yours, take it.
You want it? TAKE IT!
Pause and think on that (Selah).
