Hello, everyone! I wanted to give you my final thoughts, share some images of what the lippie looked like after 12 hours of wear, AND some swatches of the colors I received.
If you haven't watched my First Impressions Video, please do before you continue reading
This lipstick retails for $25 and does not come with the gloss and remover, so for your first purchase, you need to get all three. Since this product claims to be both long lasting and transfer proof, I had no issue trying them multiple times to test it out. Some people that have tried this product said that it left a taste of bitterness in their mouth while eating food -- that is not true, well it didn't happen to me. Only the initial application was rough and that was because I used Blistex, a cooling lip medex. Once I removed it and applied to bare lips, it did not burn as much. I was personally contacted by Michelle, a LipSense distributor, "The burn is because of the cosmetic grade alcohol that is apart of the process to long lasting color. Alcohol evaporates very quickly in the air so when the LipSense is applied, the alcohol evaporates and leaves behind the molecules of color, which then bond with the surface of the lips. It also keeps the product sterile allowing you to keep an opened tube of LipSense for up to 3 years!" So, I guess the burning is purposeful, lol. (S/o to STEM) Michelle's contact information is listed at the end of this post if you have further inquiries about it.
Here are the swatches with three coats. The lighter one is Bombshell and the darker mauve is Praline Rose, I couldn't find my third for this pic. Don't hate me.
According to the website, the moisturizing gloss ($20), is supposed "moist, plump, and protected" ...not a lie. The Ooops Lip Color Remover ($10) is also used to erase errors during application and to remove the product completely. These As far as the wear, the images below are very accurate. I wish I had chosen a darker color to really pay attention to the wear because it looks like I'm wearing lipgloss and a lip liner and the after picture looks like dry lips. I did not apply the gloss for the "After" photo, but, I did use the gloss to refresh the lips throughout the day.
To be honest, when it comes to beauty I prefer the low maintenance method. I guess why would I buy this if I can just buy a regular liquid lipstick with a great formula, easier application, and a better price? Aside from the three colors I already have, I MIGHT purchase the color Blue Red because it looks amazing, like UH-MAZING. I have those other colors in my collection, but apparently "Blue Red" is the red Christina Aguilera uses, so we'll see. If you're interested, give it a go and click the links below.
